Nice warm and hearty drink to have on any cold morning. Or any morning your taste buds feel like having them.
Ingredients:
2 cups of plant-based milk
1 tbsp of turmeric
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1 tbsp of sugar
1 tbsp of coconut oil
1 tbsp of grated ginger
Let’s get started!!!
Peel the ginger. You can use a spoon or knife for that; or you don’t even have to peel it, just wash it well. Grate the fresh ginger and put it in the pot. Pour the milk in the pot ( I am using oat milk) and the spices (turmeric, and black pepper) and put the pot on low flame and let the milk come up to a simmer. When the milk starts to simmer, pour the coconut oil, almond extract and sugar. Mix them in thoroughly. When you are done mixing them in pour the milk in a cup. Keep it in mind that the pieces of ginger are still in there; it they bother you, just strain the milk when you’re pouring it in the cup.
Serve warm
