Poisson cru à la tahitienne

Spread the love

This one is a raw fish salad from Tahiti.

Quel est le mois préféré des poissons??

Ingredients:
2 lbs of fresh tuna
the coconut milk of half a coconut
3-4 tbsp of sea salt
3 limes
3 tomatoes
3 green onions

Let’s get started!!!

Start by cutting the tuna in bite size pieces. Even smaller than the ones I made in the video if you can help it. Next, dissolve the sea salt in some water, and let the diced tuna sit in that water for about one hour. Next, make the coconut milk. For this recipe, it’s important to use fresh coconut milk and not the can version. I used the blender to minced the coconut meat; you can also use a grater. After that, squeeze the coconut milk out of the coconut meal; without mixing it with water.

Drain the sea water from the tuna, and then squeeze the lime juice on it. Next cut the vegetables (cucumber and tomato) in bite size pieces. They should be roughly the same size as the tuna pieces. Slice the green onions and sprinkle them on top of the salad. Pour in the coconut milk and mix the salad well.

Serve as is.

Enjoy your salad.
